Precious Makoe is a registered professional valuer with 21 years experience in the property industry gained through working for various financial institutions, listed sectors and a Development Finance Institution. She serves as board member at Land Affairs Board (a committee that advises the Minister of the Department of Public Works on land matters). She holds a Bcom Hons in Property Valuation and Management obtained from University of Johannesburg, National Diploma in Real Estate Majoring in Property Valuation obtained from UNISA. National Diploma in Commercial Administration obtained from the University of Johannesburg, A certificate in farm valuations offered by Agriland and a certificate in Sectional Title Trustee Training accredited by University of Cape Town. In 2024 she was invited as a guest lecture at University of Witswatersrand to present a lecture on ethics in the valuation profession. She has extensive experience in the valuation field and is competent with various property valuation methods. She has valued land mark properties in South Africa including the BAIC manufacturing plant, PFG plant in Springs, Alstom Ubunye plant in Nigel, Huegenot toll gate in Paarl, Head Office of one of the major banks in Johannesburg CBD.
